Circular economy, what is it about?

L'économie circulaire, de quoi s’agit-il ?

Every year, more than 12.7 million tons of plastic end up in our oceans. Plastic pollution is the result of the dominance of the linear economy model in our societies.

What does this model consist of? It involves extracting raw materials to produce goods with short lifespans that end up being discarded. This economy contributes to resource depletion and greatly degrades our environment.

As the linear economy follows the "throw-away" mentality, an alternative model invites us to rethink our modes of production and consumption: the circular economy. The primary objective? To turn our waste today into resources for tomorrow.

Through the circular economy, the entire consumption cycle is rethought. This model proposes to recycle and reuse materials used by households and industries, and to repair objects as much as possible before considering disposal as a last resort. Resource optimization and waste reduction are at the heart of this virtuous production model. Isn't it great ?
